Based in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, Steve calls on the RIA and independent broker dealer channel in the Southeast, where he enjoys marketing the HCM money management discipline and associated marketing programs for advisors. A 6th–generation native Floridian, he has been in the financial services arena for over 30 years, with experience in retail, wholesale and institutional sales.

Steve is a graduate of Florida State University, where he was an individual All-American sprint freestyle swimmer, and received his Bachelor of Science degree at the College of Communication. He received his CFP® certification in 1994 and passed the Series 7, 24 and 63 examinations as well as the Florida Life/Health Insurance examination. Steve enjoys playing classic rock lead guitar with his hobby band, and swims competitively as a USMS Masters athlete. In 2013, Steve won a Gold Medal in the 50-meter freestyle at the Pan-American Masters Championship, ranking 2nd in the world in that event for his age group.

Chris Cannata serves as Regional Vice President, covering advisors in the Northeast for Howard Capital Management, Inc. In his role, he enjoys helping advisors grow their practice and reach their goals.

He brings a wealth of asset allocation knowledge from past experiences as an advisor and wholesaler of alternative investments.

When he’s not working, you’ll find Chris surfing, snowboarding, and cooking.

Missy Mayer serves as Regional Vice President covering mid-Atlantic states including DC, Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.  In her role, she focuses on helping advisors grow their practice while aligning investment solutions to meet client objectives. 

Missy graduated Cum Laude from Brenau University with a Major in Business and Minor in Management.  She holds a Series 65 license and brings over 13 years sales experience, including 6 years in financial services,  In her spare time, you’ll find her running in the beautiful parks and Greenway around Alpharetta, and visiting with her sons Zach and Chase and new daughter-in-law Ashley.  She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Having worked in the financial services industry since 1995, Byron Preuss has experience in just about every facet of a financial advisory practice, including operations, portfolio management, marketing, business development, event planning, client services and client meetings.

Previously Byron worked for an office of SunAmerica Securities and later an office of Cambridge Legacy Securities, contributing to marketing and operational efforts that helped propel both offices.

Byron is a graduate of the University of Houston, B.S. Accounting, Magna Cum Laude.
